Aerophram?
By: The Mouth

In an otherwise slow-action week, Euplicitous Aerophram (N: The Riven) claimed to be the reincarnation of Euplicitous Arophram. Formerly known as Eslumber and Coelacanth, the disciple now known as Euplicitous Aerophram signed up 59 hours after the Desecration of Euplicitous Arophram so the timing does fit. In what can’t be a coincidence, the anointing happened at 02:10 -- the same time as the desecration 160 days earlier. So the attitude is right and the timing fits; there doesn't seem to be a reason to doubt that he’s the genuine article.

The Oracles have spent the week introducing tweaks to the game. Anyone still in need of a Talon Cusp or animal crest is going to be very happy with the recent changes. To help out new players there’s also a new New Player FAQ and the introduction of various “tool tips” that can be toggled by switching between Advanced and Basic modes under Preferences. They’ve also made some upgrades to deal with the lag that has recently been hitting us (and the changes seem to have worked!). According to Thebes, nomarchs received “a little something new to play with”; apparently this is the ability to spy on other dominions.

A post in System Alerts had Thebes teasing “You may now get a peek at the newest boss monster if you're clever.” Probably related, RandomEmoticon (Shadows), a Sekhmet Avatar, was later killed by The Apep Avatar in a 3 round duel! The Apep Avatar is scryable, but seems to mock any other attempts to make contact. Thebes shortly thereafter posted an alert letting us know this was Bugh’s over-eagerness to see Mod 4 live, and has been fixed. Attempting to initiate a duel after Thebes’ post now says in no uncertain terms: “Not yet, mortal.” It looks like we’re about to experience an entirely new type of boss monster.

B-HG's TAG Poll
Here are the results to the question: If you could remove one path from the game permanently, which would it be?

Fighting Futility
You're in a long fight. You're quaffing lotus potions, salving, or getting others to heal you. You get your foe down to its last few vitality. And then you die.

According to the Heralds, Who has gone the most rounds in a battle only to end up losing his own life? Here's what the monkeys have to say:

1Pakheta derisive Siren116
2Nuria malevolent Lost Soul94

Ask Miss Mummy
Dear Miss Mummy,
I really like TAG. It’s nice to read about what’s going on now and be able to refer to the Archives to see what's happened in the past. But you never seem to write about me or my dominion. Why not?
Signed,
Rachel Reader

Well, Reader, we’re glad you're enjoy TAG. Unfortunately there just aren’t enough members on the staff to claim that we’re either omniscient or omnipresent. To make up for that, we will happily accept submissions from anyone. That’s part of what makes us an impartial news source. Lately the submissions have been very sparse, so… If you really do enjoy reading, want to help make TAG better, and would like to read about things you or your dominion have done, then put something together and send it in!

Tip of the Week
You know that enigma that you just can't find the answer to? It was submitted by somebody else using "Enigmas". Outside of giving you access to Shai and the Eye of Horus, submitting your own enigmas can give you a huge advantage because the enigmas will already be on your list when you come across them while sphinxing.

But before you go submitting a list of hundreds of questions, be mindful of the guidance of the Oracles. The Oracle of Dakhla recently posted that: "If your submission is poorly written, does not include a format hint (if appropriate), or does not have an explanation it will be rejected without consideration." So put some care and attention into your questions. If you don't and the Oracles just ignore them then you're wasting time and Anima. It really isn't hard to find one or two good questions to submit each day: interesting facts you come across, something you see on the web or the news, or a movie you've just watched.
